VILLA KEMBAR
THE TWINS
In Bahasa “Kembar” means twins. These two similar villas are located on the roof of a public complex by the river. On the ground floor there is a kitchen - living room with a small guest toilet. The first floor is a wooden mezzanine with a bedroom and bathroom overlooking a large stained glass window.
The walls and ceiling are woven from bamboo stalks and a woven sheathing of smaller stalks lies on arched beams of large bamboo. The main finishing materials of this house are bamboo and wood.

The house is cooled down naturally by being inserted into slope and using natural ventilation. It has greenery throughout the roof’s surfaces, making it an intrinsic part of the jungle.
